Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use Contract Lists.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. They're the common standard for making websites work for people with disabilities.
What we do
- Every form field has a label you can see, not just a hint inside the box.
- You can use the site with a keyboard. A clear outline shows where you are.
- Text stands out clearly from its background.
- Pages have headings and landmarks (header, main content, menus and footer), so screen readers can jump around. A “Skip to content” link comes first.
- Buttons and links are big enough to tap.
- Photos have a text description. Buttons that show only an icon have a name that screen readers read out.
- You can zoom in, and every page works on a phone.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, we turn animations off.
What we know isn't right yet
- A photo a seller adds is described by the listing's title, not in detail. Ask the seller in Messages if you need to know more.
- On small listing cards, a long title, seller name or town can be cut short with “…”, more often with bigger text or wider spacing. The listing's own page always shows it in full.
- Paying happens on our payment provider Stripe's own page. Stripe runs it, so we can't change how it works.
We keep checking the site, and we fix problems as we find them.
