Licensed California contractors show their CSLB license number on their listings; sellers without a license say “Not a licensed contractor”. You can look up any license number at cslb.ca.gov.
What should a roofing quote include?
The materials, the area covered, tear-off and disposal of the old roof, permits if needed, the start date and any guarantee on the work. Get it in writing before work starts.
